THz Generators
Terahertz Parametric Oscillators: (TPO)
The TPO systems are based on difference frequency generation in quasi-phase matched GaAS crystals placed inside an optical parametric oscillator (OPO) pumped by an ultrafast fiber laser. It generates 6-10 ps THz pulses at repetition rate of 110 MHz, delivering up to 0.3mW average power and 400
mW peak power. Central wavelength of 0.85 or 1.5 THz and spectral width of 100 GHz fits perfectly into the atmospheric transmission windows, making these sources ideal for THz imaging application. Very high peak powers make the TPO suitable for imaging systems employing non-linear effects, while sufficient average power makes it suitable for thermal detector array imaging as well.

THz Generators: QS1-260 based THz sources
Operating frequency range of QS1-260 (160-260 GHz) can be extended to 2100GHz, using frequency multipliers. Typical maximum power across different ranges is shown in the table below.

THz Generators: QS1-370 and QS1-710 based THz sources
Operating frequency range of QS1-370 (180-370 GHz) can be extended to 1150 GHz, using frequency multipliers. A frequency tripler designed QS1-710 BWO extends operation of this source to 1800-2100 GHz range.Typical maximum power across different ranges is shown in the table below.

BWO Power Supplies:
VR-series power supplies provide for highly stabilized cathode voltage ranging from 0 to 6000 V,
as well as BWO grid and heater voltages.
The software package ("EPSILON") and digital-to-analog converter (DAC-16) enable user-friendly
control of the system via RS-232 or GPIB interfaces.

BWO Magnets:
The MS-X.X magnetic systems are designed to house high frequency BWO's operating in the spectral
range 0.18 - 1.42 THz.
The systems include a permanent magnet with inputs for BWO electrical
connections and the water cooling system. The MS-1.2 and MS-1.3 models are also equipped with
a 2-axis mechanical rotation stage for centering the BWO in the magnetic field.
